Like most artists and other freelancers I have had a major clean out and move around of my studio. I was very excited to find this rather special piece of paper. It’s a painting of Chester that I did on the envelope that I sent to Bloomsbury Books way back in 1999. Thanks to my little painting of Chester, the envelope was pulled out of the slush pile and Chester’s Big Surprise was published in 2001. Exciting times!
